Always wanting more

My dear son Judson, who is now officially six years old, spent an afternoon with me at the zoo back in May. It was just the two of us. I was able to appreciate what life can be like when the timing of our outings is not dictated by naptime and we don’t need to drag out a stroller and diaper bag every time we leave the house!

Thank you, God, for making me a parent!

It is 10:00 pm right now on a Sunday night, and I’m at work – attempting to finish a big project which has to be done tomorrow. (Of course I’m also taking a little time to throw together this quick post.) I should have spent the entire day at the office trying to get this stuff done. But today is my son’s 6th birthday.

No Kids Allowed!

Sometimes we just need to get away from our kids.

My kids are tired. Wait – that is not a strong enough way to explain this…. My kids are beyond exhausted, utterly drained of all energy, with heads spinning in delirium!!
